A post shared on X claims to show Israeli troops in Syria.

Verdict: Misleading

The video shows Israeli troops in the West Bank, not Syria.

Fact Check:

Social media users are claiming to show Israeli forces advancing into Syrian territory. One user wrote, “BREAKING: Israeli forces advance into Syrian territory in a shocking and humiliating scene, right in front of civilians’ eyes.”

This claim is misleading. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found that the video shows Israeli troops in the West Bank, not Syria. The video appears to have been published by the National News.

Tal Hagin, a research fellow at FakeReporter, also debunked the claim on X. (RELATED: No, RFK Jr. Did Not Make X Post Saying He’ll Ban MRNA Vaccines, Chemtrails)

“This video wasn’t filmed in Syria – This is from Jenin, located in the West Bank. There’s been a recent uptick in footage of the IDF operation (named Operation Iron Wall) in Jenin being falsely attributed to IDF activities in southern Syria,” Hagin tweeted.
