Verdict: False
CNN aired several other Trump rallies.
Fact Check:
Social media users are claiming that CNN only aired Trump’s July 13, 2024 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. This implies that CNN had knowledge or was involved in the attempted assassination attempt of Trump, when the president was struck in the ear by a bullet.
This claim is false. CNN aired several rallies of Trump prior to the July 13 assassination attempt. For example, on June 18, June 22, June 28, and July 9, the network aired Trump’s rallies live.
Furthermore, CNN denied the claim, stating it provided live coverage of “many other Trump rallies…in 2024” in a March 20 tweet. (RELATED: Claim That Pam Bondi Has Petitioned The Courts To Vacate Anthony Fauci’s Pardon Is Satire)
CNN provided live coverage of President Trump’s Butler, PA rally, among many other Trump rallies taken live in 2024, in anticipation of news about his pick for Vice President. Any suggestion contrary to that fact is completely false.

“CNN provided live coverage of President Trump’s Butler, PA rally, among many other Trump rallies taken live in 2024, in anticipation of news about his pick for Vice President. Any suggestion contrary to that fact is completely false,” reads the tweet.
There is no evidence that suggests CNN did not air coverage of other Trump rallies or that CNN is connected to the assassination attempt against Trump. We rate this claim false.
