A photo shared on Twitter allegedly shows uniformed Nazis gathered outside of the New York courthouse where former President Donald Trump was being held for his arraignment.

Verdict: False

The photo is miscaptioned. The photo was taken on a movie set in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Fact Check:

Trump was arrested Tuesday for his alleged role in a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels to silence her from going public about his alleged affair with her, according to CNN. A judge in Los Angeles ordered Daniels to pay Trump over 120,000 in legal fees in connection to a failed defamation lawsuit unrelated to Trump’s recent indictment, NPR reports.

A Twitter photo allegedly shows Nazis standing outside the courthouse where Trump’s arraignment was taking place. The photo shows three individuals outfitted in all black with red armbands featuring a swastika and guns.

“Wtf i just snapped this pic outside the new york courthouse where Donald Trump is being held?” the caption reads. “does anyone know what’s going on???”

The image is miscaptioned, however. The photo was actually taken in 2017 in Vancouver, British Columbia, for the filming of a TV series tilted, “The Man in the High Castle,” according to Vancouver news outlet The Georgia Straight. The series is based off a book with the same title by American science fiction author Phillip K. Dick. In the novel, axis powers win World War I, hence the Nazi uniforms.

The photo is from a TV set. Check Your Fact found no credible news reports about uniformed Nazis outside of the courthouse. (RELATED: No, This Image Does Not Show A Mugshot Of Donald Trump)
