Fact Check:
A Hospital in Northern Gaza was the center of a fighting on Monday morning with at least 12 fatalities, The New York Times reported. The Indonesian Hospital was shelled during the fighting, reports indicates that the source of the strike is unclear.
The X post allegedly shows thousands of Catholic protesters marching in downtown New York City in support of Israel during the current conflict in Gaza. At the head of the alleged march protesters holding a cruxifix and a candle lead the march and are followed by other members of the church.
The caption reads, “Thousands of Catholics offered prayer to support #Israel in New York. World supports Israel.”
The caption is inaccurate. The march was unrelated to the Hamas-Israeli conflict. The march was a part of the Eucharistic procession. The National Catholic Register described the event as “A procession bringing Jesus in the Eucharist through the heart of the largest city in the U.S.”
The procession was part of an event put on by the organization Napa Institute. The event was held Oct. 10-11 at the Metropolitan Club New York. There is no reference to any current conflict in the event. (RELATED: Video Of Pakistani Air Force Is Old)
