Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently under federal investigation, according to The LA Times. There are not yet any charges against Combs, but Combs’ Attorney has called this investigation a “witch hunt based on meritless accusations.”
A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purports Disney purchased Epstein Island. The post purported to share an image of an alleged search result that confirms the purchase.
The caption reads, “Guess who just did what You still wanna take your kids there and I’ve always wondered why they you to say where going to Disney land after championships.”
The claim is inaccurate. The claim stems from a satirical news website called Mouse Trap News. The image shows a claim that the island was purchased for $3 billion. At the bottom of the image is a link to Mouse Trap News. The website self identifies as parody. Their disclaimer reads, “Mouse Trap News is the world’s best satire and parody site. We write fake stories about Disney Parks stuff.”
Stephen Deckoff, founder of private equity firm Black Diamond Capital Management purchased the island. NPR reported Deckoff finalized a deal for $60 million. (RELATED: Does Video Show Explosion At Francis Scott Key Bridge?)
