An image shared on X allegedly shows actor Chris Evans wearing a shirt that reads, “Kama’la the lady who made Brett Kavanaugh cry 2024.”

Verdict: False

This is not a genuine image of Evans. It was photoshopped from a picture of him wearing a plain T-shirt.

Fact Check:

Former President Jimmy Carter’s mail-in ballot for the 2024 election was sent on Wednesday, according to Axios. Carter, who turned 100 recently and is in hospice care, said he wanted to live long enough to be able to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, the outlet reported.

A photo allegedly shows Evans wearing a shirt supporting Harris. In red and blue, the text reads, “Kama’la the lady who made Brett Kavanaugh cry 2024.” Underneath this text is a simple graphic of an American flag.

This photo has been digitally altered. The image was originally posted by Just Jared, which shows Evans wearing a plain white T-shirt with no text. His hat was also photoshopped. (RELATED: Image Allegedly Showing Chris Evans Signing An Israeli Bomb Intended For Gaza Is Miscaptioned)

Regarding politics, Evans launched a civic engagement app called A Starting Point in which he hopes to “educate, not advocate,” and to reduce the spread of misinformation, according to AP News. The site’s mission is “to create a bipartisan channel of communication and connectivity between Americans and their elected officials with the goal of creating a more informed electorate,” according to its “About” page.

Evans has previously commented on Trump’s win in 2016 saying he feels “fury,” according The Hill. He was recently asked if he would ever run for office, but the actor remarked that he is “tired” and said “I don’t think so,” according to another article from the outlet.
