FACT CHECK: No, This Image Resembling A Cybertruck Does Not Show Fully Restored 1875 Chuckwagon
An image shared on Facebook allegedly shows a “fully restored 1875 Chuckwagon” appearing to resemble a Tesla Cybertruck.
Verdict: False
The caption is inaccurate. The image was created with the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
Fact Check:
The Cybertruck, with a starting price of over $100,000, has become the third-bestselling electric vehicle in the U.S., according to Forbes. The Cybertruck was surpassed in sales only by Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3, the outlet reported.
A Facebook image allegedly shows a fully restored 1875 chuckwagon that appears to resemble a very rusted and worn-down Cybertruck.
“Fully restored 1875 Chuckwagon…” the caption reads.
This image has been digitally fabricated, however. AI-detection tool Hive Moderation says that the image is 83% likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content.
The image was posted to a Facebook group called Midjourney Official. Midjourney is a text-to-image generative AI program. The same account also posted it to groups called Crazed AI and Cursed AI.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk gave a 20-minute presentation in which he made many announcements including the fully autonomous two-door Cybercab which is slated to come out in 2026 for a price under 30,000, according to Reuters. He also unveiled a robovan that is capable of transporting 20 people at a time, along with humanoid robots that would eventually be available for around $20,000 to $30,000 each, the outlet reported.
This is not the first time AI-generated content has been mistaken as real online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a video allegedly showing former President Donald Trump eating fries at McDonald’s.
