Social media users are claiming to show a family in Los Angeles dancing while the wildfires rage in front of them. One user wrote, “A family in Los Angeles had fun dancing during the fire.”

This claim is false. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found that the video is from December 2024. The wildfires originally started in early January 2025, according to USA Today.

Furthermore, the video seems to be from Switzerland. The person who originally uploaded the video uses a hashtag that has the Swiss flag. The user has uploaded videos that show more perspectives of the fire, one of which also has the same hashtag.

MisBar also debunked the claim. It also reported that the videos show a historic bathhouse that caught on fire.
