During filming of the ABC talk show “The View” Goldberg stopped an altercation between audience members, The New York Post reported. Goldberg can be seen during the live show stopping a man in the audience from recording and disrupting the other audience members.

A post shared on Facebook purports that Goldberg has recently been named as the brand ambassador of Bud Light. The post shares an image of the comedian and the beer.

The text on the image reads, “Whoopi Goldberg Signs A $10 Billion Deal With Bud Light To Become Their New Brand Ambassador.” The caption says, “Like anyone needed further reason to boycott Budweiser…”

The claim is inaccurate. The claim stems from a satirical website called Life Today. The “about section self identifies as satire. The disclaimer reads, “ Lifetoday.press is your go-to destination for satirical news and fresh commentary on the hottest and quirkiest issues in the United States of America.”
