An image shared on Facebook claims the wife of Capitol rioter Ray Epps works for the company that owns Dominion Voting Systems.

Verdict: Misleading

Epps’ wife, Robyn Epps, worked for Dominion Enterprises, which is unaffiliated with Dominion Voting Systems.

Fact Check:

Ray Epps was a supporter of former President Donald Trump who traveled to Washington D.C. and was seen on video urging people to storm the Capitol, according to The New York Times. Since the storming of the Capitol, people have claimed he was an FBI informant who helped plan the attack, the outlet reported.

The Facebook image claims Ray Epps’ wife Robyn Epps worked for Dominion Enterprises, a company the post claims owns “Dominion Voting.” Dominion Voting Systems is an election technology firm that has been the subject of several conspiracy theories that allege it helped rig the 2020 presidential election in favor of President Joe Biden.

“Ray Epps is married to Robyn Epps,” reads text included in the image. “She is National Director of Sales and Development at Dominion Enterprises, which Dominion Voting is a division of. Are you still believing there is such a thing as coincidence?”

While it is true that Robyn Epps worked for Dominion Enterprises, according to her LinkedIn page and a 2007 press release from the company, it is not affiliated with Dominion Voting Systems. In reality, Dominion Enterprises is a media and information services company with several brands underneath it, according to the company’s website. None of those brands are Dominion Voting Systems.

Dominion Voting Systems is owned by Staple Street Capital, according to a 2018 press release. Dominion Enterprises is owned by Landmark Media Enterprises, not Staple Street Capital. (RELATED: Is Nancy Pelosi’s Chief Of Staff Also The CEO Of Dominion Voting Systems?)

Representatives for both companies denied the two companies are connected. Ann Rivenbark, an executive assistant with Dominion Enterprises and Landmark Media Enterprises, told Check Your Fact in an email that “Dominion Voting Systems is NOT affiliated in any way with Dominion Enterprises.”

“Dominion Voting Systems has no connection to Dominion Enterprises,” said a spokesperson for Dominion Voting Systems in an email to Check Your Fact. “They are two separate companies. Any claims about a business or financial relationship between Dominion Voting Systems and Ms. Epps are completely false.”
