FACT CHECK: No, Video Doesn’t Show Lebanese Tanks Advancing Into Israel
A video shared on Facebook claims a video shows Lebanese tanks advancing into Israel.

Israel has expanded its ground invasion of southern Lebanon, according to CNN. Israel launched the invasion in October with the stated aim of forcing Hezbollah to withdraw north of the Litani River, 12 miles away from Israel’s northern border, per the outlet.
Social media users are sharing a video of tanks, claiming it shows Lebanese tanks preparing to invade Israel. One user wrote,” BREAKING NEWS…’Lebanese Tanks Advancing for Possible Attack on Israel.'”
This claim is false. Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found that the video shows Algerian tanks, not Lebanese tanks. A similar video posted to Instagram on Nov. 1 showing the same line of tanks shows a person waving an Algerian flag while the tanks advance on the road.

A video from an Algerian news outlet notes that it is the 70th anniversary of Algeria’s independence. The same tanks can possibly be seen around one hour into the video.
“Live.. The largest military parade of the Algerian army under the supervision of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune,” reads the video’s title. (RELATED: Will The NYPD Require Its Officers To Wear Their Pronouns On Their Uniforms?)
